A couple of weeks ago I got a new guitar amp, so I’ve been playing guitar almost everyday because I’m so excited about it. I was in the living room playing guitar yesterday afternoon when I heard a knock on the front door. There’s this guy at the door holding a vinyl album and it’s dust jacket in his hands.
“Hey man, I hear you playing guitar often from my house across the street and wanted to drop off this vinyl I just pressed – do you have a record player?” he asks as he hands me this pristine, white, vinyl record with custom screen printing on it.
I was blown away. . . by the white vinyl (and by the fact that this guy can hear my guitar across the street and one house down). I’m not quite sure the point of this blog, but I thought I should share this. I’m glad he stopped by. I’m glad people can still talk to their neighbors. At this point I will apologize to any neighbors that may not like to hear my guitar, across the street … or next door. However, I think the white vinyl is pretty snazzy!
The music is somewhat experimental. You can hear some of it at dulcettrecords.com
In other news, I’m buying a Zorki 4.
